What this track covers
This track covers molecular imaging modalities from conventional scintigraphy through PET/CT and theranostics. It focuses on matching the right study and radiotracer to the clinical question, recognizing normal variants versus pathologic uptake, and integrating findings into oncologic, cardiac, and endocrine workups.
What you will practice
- Match clinical indications to the appropriate nuclear medicine study and radiotracer
- Differentiate normal physiologic uptake from pathologic findings on FDG-PET
- Interpret myocardial perfusion SPECT for ischemia versus infarct patterns
- Read three-phase bone scans for infection, fracture, or metastatic disease
