What this track covers
This track covers cross-sectional anatomy of the abdomen and pelvis and how contrast phase and protocol choice affect what you see. It builds pattern recognition for common and high-stakes findings across the liver, kidney, pancreas, and GI tract, using a consistent, reproducible read structure.
What you will practice
- Work through a normal abdominal CT and MRI systematically, organ by organ
- Match contrast phase timing to the clinical question being asked
- Distinguish benign from concerning liver lesion patterns
- Identify renal and pancreatic findings that change management
- Apply a consistent search pattern before dictating a report
Simulator scenario
A virtual patient presents with vague abdominal pain and an incidental liver lesion on ultrasound, requiring you to select the appropriate follow-up CT or MRI protocol and characterize the finding.
