What this track covers
This track covers the clinical foundations of addiction medicine, including the neurobiology of substance use, treatment for opioid, alcohol, stimulant, and cannabis use disorders, and care for patients with co-occurring mental health conditions. It also addresses practical aspects of integrating addiction care into practice, including harm reduction approaches.
What you will practice

- Select between buprenorphine and naltrexone for opioid use disorder based on patient factors
- Assess readiness and contraindications before starting pharmacotherapy for alcohol use disorder
