It emphasizes how to think through patient selection, imaging guidance, and post-procedure counseling rather than reciting a fixed protocol.
What you will practice

- Reason through injectate selection based on patient presentation and joint pathology
- Practice in-plane and out-of-plane probe positioning for real-time needle visualization
- Work through pre-procedure checks, including contraindications and informed consent discussion
- Talk through post-injection counseling and follow-up planning with a patient
Simulator scenario
A timed case where a patient with knee pain and effusion is evaluated to determine whether ultrasound-guided injection is appropriate before planning the procedure.
