This track covers the full urinalysis workflow: physical exam of the specimen, dipstick chemistries, and sediment microscopy. It emphasizes connecting individual findings into coherent clinical patterns for UTI, kidney disease, and metabolic disorders.
What you will practice

- Work through dipstick results systematically: pH, protein, glucose, ketones, blood, leukocyte esterase, nitrites
- Distinguish RBCs, WBCs, epithelial cells, and bacteria on sediment exam
- Differentiate cast types and identify common crystals
- Decide when a urinalysis warrants reflex culture versus clinical observation
