What this track covers
This track covers the core clinical and communication skills needed for palliative and hospice care, including pain and non-pain symptom management, structured approaches to goals-of-care discussions, and Medicare hospice eligibility by diagnosis. It also addresses recognizing the dying process and supporting patients and families through the final hours.
What you will practice
- Titrate and convert opioids for refractory cancer or non-cancer pain
- Manage dyspnea, nausea, delirium, and terminal secretions
