What this track covers
This track covers skin findings across the pediatric age spectrum, from normal newborn skin changes to adolescent acne, including atopic dermatitis, vascular and pigmented birthmarks, infectious exanthems, and genetic skin disorders. It emphasizes distinguishing benign, self-limited findings from those requiring further workup or specialist referral.

- Assess atopic dermatitis severity and select an appropriate treatment approach
- Differentiate hemangiomas and vascular malformations and identify referral triggers
- Recognize viral, bacterial, fungal, and parasitic pediatric rashes by pattern and distribution
- Identify features of genodermatoses that warrant genetics or dermatology referral

A virtual infant patient presents with a new rash and a caregiver history, and the clinician must narrow the differential and decide on next steps within a time limit.
