What this track covers
This track covers the anatomy relevant to lip augmentation, including the vermilion border, Cupid's bow, philtrum columns, and the vascular structures injectors must respect. It also addresses how hyaluronic acid filler characteristics — such as viscosity, G-prime, and cohesivity — influence product selection and technique choice for volume versus definition.
What you will practice
- Identifying vermilion border and Cupid's bow landmarks before planning injection points
- Mapping labial artery and vascular danger zones in the perioral region
- Comparing fanning, microdroplet, linear threading, and serial puncture techniques
- Matching filler rheology (viscosity, G-prime, cohesivity) to a desired lip outcome
- Assessing symmetry and structural balance relative to overall facial proportions
Simulator scenario
A virtual patient requesting subtle lip enhancement with mild pre-existing asymmetry, prompting the clinician to choose an injection technique and articulate a plan that addresses symmetry without overcorrecting.
