This track covers the clinical reasoning behind neuromodulator and dermal filler use, energy-based and skin-resurfacing procedures, and recognition of aesthetic treatment complications. It's built for licensed clinicians who evaluate, perform, or oversee aesthetic procedures and want a structured way to sharpen decision-making and patient safety judgment.
What you will practice
- Screen a patient for suitability before a neuromodulator or filler procedure
- Differentiate normal post-procedure effects from early signs of a complication
- Reason through anatomic risk zones relevant to injectable placement
- Decide when a skin or soft-tissue finding warrants referral instead of treatment
- Talk through informed consent points for a common aesthetic procedure
Simulator scenario
A patient returns two days after a filler treatment reporting increasing pain and skin discoloration near the injection site, and the clinician must decide whether this is expected bruising or an urgent vascular complication.
